Ed Sheeran Says There's No Beef With Miley Cyrus After VMAs

Ed Sheeran spoke to Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday, Aug. 27, to clear up any rumors of a feud with Miley Cyrus.

"I think she’s a fantastic artist,” he said about the 'Wrecking Ball' singer. “I think she’s got a great voice, writes great songs."

On Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, Sheeran was honored with the award for Best Male Video. As Sheeran stood up to accept his award, fans noticed that not only did Sheeran avoid giving Cyrus a "high-five" like the people around her, but that she mouthed the word 'a--hole' as he passed by her.

Regarding the incident, Sheeran said to Seacrest, "Well, I don’t know why people were expecting that [high-five]. I’ve never met her."

Some fans have speculated that Cyrus might still be upset at a comment Sheeran made about her last year when he said to The Mirror, “I think encouraging young people to twerk might be a bad thing. If I had a daughter of nine, I wouldn’t want her twerking.”
