Emma Bunton, Ed Sheeran Perform Spice Girls’ ‘Goodbye’ Duet
Well, just about everyone seems to be singing Spice Girls songs lately — except for all five members of the Spice Girls together.
Following the announcement of GEM (meh) and Victoria Beckham (!) and Melanie C's impromptu "2 Become 1" performance over New Year's Eve, Emma Bunton — Baby Spice, as she is formally known — decided to hop aboard the Spicestalgia train with a very special guest vocalist: Ed Sheeran.
While interviewing Ed about his upcoming music for her Heart radio show (full interview's out this Saturday, January 14), Emma and her Divide special guest dove into an acoustic rendition of the still-wrenching 2000 Spice Girls swan song, "Goodbye." (How amazing does Emma sound?)
The two also bantered about Ed becoming the next Ginger Spice — and while Geri could surely never be replaced, it would be well worth seeing Ed in that Union Jack dress and some platform shoes at least once.
"A perfect duet! @teddysphotos off the cuff duet. #goodbye," Emma wrote. Check out the cute impromptu duet moment above.
