From boy bands like One Direction and Big Time Rush to girl groups like Fifth Harmony and Little Mix, to bands of the more traditional variety (aka, the ones who play instruments) like 5 Seconds of Summer and The Vamps -- there's a rich array of bands reigning supreme in pop music right now. So we thought it'd be fun to pit them all against each other in a good ol' fashioned Battle of the Bands pol!

Round 1 asks you to make a VERY tough call: Fifth Harmony or Little Mix? Each are strong contenders with golden voices and huge, super-supportive fanbases. Both groups were formed in the X Factor singing competition in their respective countries (and Little Mix was the first group to win the UK version).

Fifth Harmony have had an amazing year, seeing "Worth It" go multi-platinum on the heels of other successful Reflection singles "Sledgehammer" and "Bo$$." They rocked out with beasties in Hotel Transylvania 2's "I'm In Love With a Monster" theme, and snagged a Candie's campaign — basically, their fanbase is only getting bigger.

Little Mix are busy, too: They're ramping up for the November release of their Get Weird album, One Direction's Liam Payne is hoping to work with them, they performed "Black Magic" with Taylor Swift AND hung out with Fifth Harmony! And the group were good friends to each other too, as members rallied around Perrie Edwards after her rough breakup with fiance Zayn Malik.

SO: Which band deserves to move on to the next round of PopCrush's Battle of the Bands? You can vote for Fifth Harmony or the Little Mix in the poll below. Voting closes for Round 1 on October 12 at 5 PM ET!

UPDATE: This round is now closed. Please vote in the semi-finals...
