The nominees for the 73rd Annual Golden Globes were announced this morning (December 10), with Lady Gaga, Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith and Eddie Redmayne among the screen talents honored for their work. There were few surprises in the Best Original Song category, with Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith up for their contributions to Fifty Shades of Grey and Spectre, respectively.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association's awards ceremony may not hold the the same highbrow esteem as its native elder cousin the Academy Awards, but it's generally regarded as a good predictor for who'll be up for an Oscar the following month. The broadcast also tends to be a boozier, less buttoned-up affair, which allows for the increasingly rare "unscripted moment" or two. We'll definitely be watching.

The 73rd annual Golden Globe awards will air on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at 8 p.m. eastern. Comedian Ricky Gervais, who hosted from 2010 to 2012, will return to preside over the ceremony. Check out the full list of GG nominees below.
