Hoja Lopez is the type of contestant America would have loved to root for during the second season of 'The Voice.' The 27-year-old aspired to be an inspiration to all girls who feel somewhat disenchanted with the skinny, midriff-bearing pop stars of today.

However, her remake of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' failed to inspire any of the four coaches. Cee Lo Green seemed to be contemplating a turn early, but never hit the plunger. Christina Aguilera turned up her nose at a performance Blake Shelton later called OK. All of this tension was almost too much for Lopez's spunky mother and sister, who watched backstage with Carson Daly.

Lopez seems comfortable in her skin. Perry's song was a cute choice, as with her light skin tone and dark hair she looked like the popstar's own sister. Hopefully her brief brush of fame is enough to inspire a few viewers who like her, but don't have any direct roll models to watch and learn from.
