Happy International Women's Day, everyone!

On Friday, March 8th, celebrities took to social media to express their support and honor this special day dedicated to women all over the world. Stars such as Miley Cyrus, Victoria Beckham, Mark Ronson, and Will Smith all shared messages to celebrate the badass women in their lives, while others like Dua Lipa, Barack Obama, and Shania Twain stressed the importance of women's rights. Former One Direction singers Harry Styles and Niall Horan also chimed in, sending love and praise to all the amazing ladies out there.

Lady Gaga took things one step further by kicking off an empowering thread on Twitter under the hashtag #SheInpiresMe after tweeting that her mom, Cynthia Germanotta, is her biggest inspiration. This started a chain reaction of women praising each other, which included everyone from Gabrielle Union to Jessica Alba.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande dropped a video titled “Female” on Twitter—which features the phrase "not asking for it" as words like "playful,” “sexual,” and “wild” flash across the screen.
