Hyori Spotlights Korean Beauty Standards in ‘Miss Korea’ Video

K-Pop singer Lee Hyori, who is now 33, addresses the problematic, slippery slope issue of beauty standards in South Korea. She positions herself as a beauty pageant queen and the leader of a girl group in the clip, which isn't a stretch, since she's a stunner.

She dons casual stripes and glittery gowns, while tools of the beauty trade (tweezers, scalpels, a white coat-wearing plastic surgeon, drill bits and more) factor into the action.

It's a somewhat lighthearted look at a heavy problem but it never seems to oversimplify things.
