Amy Schumer Reveals Emmy-Night Text From Jennifer Lawrence

Real friends pick you up when you're down, give you a shoulder to cry on and call you hot but dumb after watching you accept your very first Emmy award.

Amy Schumer, whose Inside Amy Schumer earned the inaugural trophy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series at last night's (September 20) ceremony, said recent BFF Jennifer Lawrence had some choice words for her pal after watching Amy deliver a funny but thoughtful speech.

"Jennifer sent me a really sweet text," Schumer told Entertainment Tonight after her acceptance, during which she thanked "that girl who gave me a sort of smokey eye."

"She said that I looked pretty but not smart." Man, we can only imagine what she had to say to the category's losers.

Lawrence and Schumer first met earlier this year after Lawrence saw the comedian's Trainwreck and sent her an adoring message that ended with "I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you." Lawrence told the New York Times that the ladies have since begun to write a movie together with Amy's sister, Kim, in which they'll play sisters. And the process, she noted, has been totally seamless.

"Amy and I were creatively made for each other,” J. Law shared. “We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up."
