Jennifer Lopez covers the December issue of Glamour and she shows off her nautical side in wayfarer-inspired clothing.

While J. Lo's hair is voluminous, her makeup is smoky and her jewelry is statement-making, she glams up high-waisted, gold-buttoned sailor pants as well as tiny red bustier. The blinged out anchor around her neck? We covet that. Only J. Lo could take an anchor-as-accessory and make it flashy.

The issue is not on stands until Nov. 8, but the fashion/women's mag revealed a few nuggets from the feature, such as Lopez's take on relationships, now that's she's newly single.

La Lopez said, "I think I’ve finally learned the biggest lesson of all. You’ve got to love yourself first. You’ve got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else. You’ve got to value yourself and know that you’re worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can’t really have a healthy relationship."

From that statement, we're surmising that the diva felt she needed to do a little self-repair and couldn't do it in the confines of a marriage. We're still wondering if she's hanging out with hunky actor Bradley Cooper and maybe that's helping her be OK with herself?

Lopez did say she prefers her relationships to be out of the public eye at this point … Maybe that's why she was covering up when paparazzi lit up their flashbulbs when she was reportedly spotted with Cooper? She thinks private is better for the health of a relationship, saying, “I think to give something a chance, to really get to know somebody, you want to do it out of the public eye. You know the media — they want to rush everything."

You can't feature J. Lo in a fashion mag without talking about her style evolution. Jenny From the Block still likes what she liked when she was 16 and cruising her native Bronx. She said that things like "jeans, cut-up T-shirts" are things she wore then and still digs now. However, her diva status has opened her eyes to a lot! She said, "But I’ve been exposed to so much now from traveling the world and seeing couture clothes. I used all of that when I created my new line for Kohl’s. My style has come from everything, from where I started to where I am today.”

Where she's at today is atop the diva and fashion food chain!
