Latin pop star Jenni Rivera, who died in a plane crash in Mexico in December at age 43, will be the subject of a biopic about her life, and the late singer's sister Rosie says that Jennifer Lopez is among those in the running to portray Rivera on the big screen.

Rosie confirmed, "We want to share Jenni's life with her fans through a well documented movie." While she didn't say who she wants to see play her sister, the names that have surfaced so far include J. Lo, former Miss Universe Alicia Machado and actress Angelica Vale.

Rosie Rivera does acknowledge that she met with Lopez and her team about the possibility of Lopez's Nuyorican Productions producing the film. J. Lo reportedly wants to make sure that a film about Rivera is as well-done as the movie about Selena, a Latin pop star who was killed at age 23 in 1995.

Lopez, who is currently starring in 'Parker,' has never been acclaimed for her acting skills, but playing a fellow Latin pop star could be just the role she has been waiting for. J. Lo was one of the stars who offered their public condolences after the crash.

Do you think Jennifer Lopez would be the right choice to play Jenni Rivera?
