With the personal struggles that Jennifer Lopez is facing these days, including her very public divorce from husband of seven years, Marc Anthony, J. Lo is back to work on 'American Idol,' putting on a brave face for the viewers and fans.

"We've been doing auditions, and she's rising above," fellow 'Idol' judge, Randy Jackson, tells PEOPLE. "She's strong, she's a trouper, [and] she's a great girl. She's amazing."

Lopez and Anthony announced their split in July, but since then have been keeping their differences behind them for the sake of their 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme. Lopez recently joined her ex poolside in Miami for his low-key birthday celebration.

Over the weekend (Saturday, Sept. 24), Lopez performed during Las Vegas' iHeartRadio Music Festival, looking beautiful and in great spirits. Throughout her 25-minute set, Lopez was reportedly energetic, jumping around the stage with her dancers and singing a medley of her most popular hits.

"I don't want to see anyone trying to act cool around here," she told the crowd that night. "I want to see you dancing and jumping and singing and acting like a fool."

Jackson says that the sexy singer knows no matter what emotions she faces during this time, he and the rest of the 'Idol' family will be there for her 24/7. "Whatever help we need to give, we'll give her," he said.
