‘Jersey Shore’ Star Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley Just Filed for Divorce so Love Is Dead Now
In news that has us wanting to drown our sorrows in self tanner and Ron Ron Juice, Jenni "JWoww" Farley has filed for divorce from her husband, Roger Mathews, just shy of their three year anniversary.
Multiple outlets report that the Jersey Shore star "initiated divorce proceedings two weeks ago in Ocean County, New Jersey." Citing "irreconcilable differences" per the Asbury Park Press, the reality TV star admitted her relationship with Mathews, who she wed in October 2015, began to dissolve six months ago.
Farley allegedly wants to maintain "primary residential custody" of her and Mathews' two children, Meilani Alexandra Mathews, 4, and Greyson Valor Mathews, 2, as well as requests that Mathews pays child support. The Jersey Shore Family Vacation cast member has also requested he pay "health insurance and funds for other health care expenses," in addition to taking out a life insurance policy for each of their two children.
Reports indicate that Farley has asked for equal distribution of the property acquired during their marriage.
Mathews, however, is "not done fighting" for their relationship.
Hours after news of the divorce filing broke on Thursday (September 27), he addressed their split in an emotional video shared to Instagram.
"My wife filed for divorce, it’s true. I don’t blame her. There’s no cheating or any dumb s--- or any juicy details. She just grew tired of the repetitive pattern that we fell into, and [it was] not a good one," he explained, adding that he plans to "win back" Farley.
"We’re in counseling so there is hope. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings," he concluded.
We hesitate to say it, but maybe Ronnie was right: Never fall in love at the Jersey Shore.
