Kanye West has been mysteriously quiet as of late, so when a new website appeared on Whodat.biz using West's Donda Media brand name the Internet went into a tizzy. Unfortunately, it was all fake.

The so-called Whodat page "Donda Media Presents Whodat.biz, which touts itself as 'The Facebook of Websites,' is a bogus web portal that a prankster created out of boredom, we guess. According to E! Online, the tech startup seemed authentic since it posted links to a Donda Media site featuring Yeezy's likeness, a newly created Twitter feed and a Donda Media Tumblr.

But West's creative director Virgil Abloh shot down the new website tweeting, "If a site existed it'd be obvious that it was real." Tech website Gizmodo was able to track down the guy who actually created the website and he confessed that the website is not associated with West at all.

This isn't the first time West has been caught in an Internet hoax. Earlier this year, a fake Twitter page was created promoting Ye's supposed new womenswear line called DW Collection, but not of it was real. In fact, the name of the 34-year-old rapper's clothing line is simply called Kanye West.

Despite all of this fakery, it's good to know that people are still waiting to see what Mr. West is going to bring next in pop culture.
