Katy Perry's new song and music video for "Harleys in Hawaii" was inspired by her real-life tropical getaway with Orlando Bloom.

The "Never Really Over Singer" revealed that the song was inspired by a real-life memory with Orlando Bloom, during which the engaged couple went to Oahu, Hawaii while Perry was filming for American Idol.

"We rented a Harley because we were just there for a few days... You know, to be on the back of a motorcycle in Hawaii and just let the air flowing on your face," the 34-year-old told The Zach Sang Show about the inspiration for the new song.

"It's so beautiful. It was awesome! But I can remember specifically where I was, the street corner I was at in Oahu and turning that corner and whispering to Orlando, going, 'I'm going to write a song called 'Harleys In Hawaii.'"

You may recognize another pop super star's backing vocals in the song: Charlie Puth, who she also co-wrote the song with alongside Johan Carlsson and Jacob Kasher. The team of collaborators also worked together on Perry's previous release, "Small Talk."

"Harleys In Hawaii" comes after Perry's previous releases, "Never Really Over" and "Small Talk," which are off her upcoming sixth studio album.
