Katy Perry's evangelical mother hasn't always agreed with her daughter's choices, from the skimpy outfits to songs like 'I Kissed a Girl' -- and now Mama Perry is shopping a memoir that would describe exactly how she feels about Katy's fame.

Page Six reports that Mary Perry Hudson is trying to secure a book deal in which she presents her life story as a Christian pastor. While the memoir, according to the proposal, "is not a Katy Perry tell-all," it would include Hudson's thoughts on Katy's successes and failures, as she sees them.

The proposal reads, in part, "She loves her daughter very much and is very proud of her accomplishments, but disagrees with a lot of choices she makes in her career. This memoir is to set the record straight."

"Amid a torrent of negative reports from tabloid magazines and entertainment shows, Mary Hudson wants to tell 'her story' and dispel a lot of rumors. Katy's success has impacted her ministry in both negative and positive ways."

Co-writer T.L. Gray tells the column he and Hudson have interest but have not inked a publication deal just yet. Hopefully a deal happens soon, because don't you want to hear what Mary has to say about Katy's oddball comedian husband, Russell Brand?
