Katy Perry and Russell Brand Spend Holidays Apart as Rumors of Troubled Marriage Continue
Katy Perry and Russell Brand have been dealing with their share of rumors that their marriage of 14 months has been on the rocks. After spending the Christmas holiday many miles apart, fuel has been added to that fire.
Perry basked in the sunshine in Hawaii, donning a tiny bikini -- and not sporting her wedding bling -- while her actor hubby spent the holiday on the complete opposite side of the world in Coverack, Cornwall (England).
According to E! News Online, a source close to the couple reveals they have been having "problems" with their new marriage for some time now, leading them to spend "a lot of time apart."
Additional reports from Us Weekly second that there is trouble in paradise with Brand and Perry. "They haven't split up just yet, but things are not good," a source tells the publication. "The fighting is getting worse."
The source predicts that a "split may be coming soon, but they are both so dramatic and volatile, the relationship could become great again."
Earlier this month, Brand addressed the rumors of their marriage failing when he was a guest on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.'
"In the end, you have to just not engage with Internet technology," Brand explained DeGeneres. "I’ve treated the whole Internet now like it’s a wicked little liar. I am really happily married."
"Being famous is like a little bit of you is taken away and goes off and lives on it’s own and does what it wants," Brand continues. "I wish it would do more interesting things. I don’t know what he’s doing — the other me — but I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge … And I’m still alive."
We hope they get everything straightened out!
