Katy Perry is happy to have the blues. The pop singer is putting her voice to good use as Smurfette in the new 3-D live-action movie, 'The Smurfs,' and ET Online has a new sneak peek of the film.

The clip is narrated by Neil Patrick Harris (Patrick Winslow), who talks about the premise of the movie, as well as each of its Smurf-tastic characters. Perry is shown recording sweet and flirty lines like, "Hey guys, how do you like my new dress?"

The upcoming film will mark the 26-year-old's big screen debut. She played herself in hubby Russell Brand's movie, 'Get Him to the Greek,' but her scene was cut and uncredited. As far as the little blue creatures go, Perry was more than excited to voice Smurfette. "I was really happy to be a part of them," she says.

In addition to Harris, Perry will star alongside Hank Azaria, Jayma Mays, Sofia Vergara, Alan Cumming, Fred Armisen and George Lopez, just to name a few. 'The Smurfs' will open in theaters on July 29.
