Katy Perry shows fans what she's really about in a new behind-the-scenes video from her California Dreams Arena Tour 2011. The five-minute clip incorporates footage from several UK dates, as well as interviews with her dancers and DJ.

The video begins with an account of life on the road, which is not always so easy for Perry and her crew. "The road starts to envelop your body and make you look kind of like a soldier of sorts," she says.

We see the pop star and her team working out backstage and before shows, making sure they're in tip-top shape for their nightly concerts. One of her dancers reveals, "A lot of people think that we don't have to work out because we're dancing all day, and they're like, 'Oh you get a workout on the stage.' That's not a workout. That becomes routine."

The video gives fans an all-access pass to Perry's touring life, including glimpses of her meet-and-greets, wardrobe changes and onstage moments. Her band talks of constantly keeping an eye on the California native, because "you kind of have to be ready for whatever she pulls out of her head," her guitarist explains.

At one show, Perry promises to give a kiss to an audience member. When she addresses a girl in the front row, the fan begins to lose it. In an attempt to calm her down, the singer says, "Shh ... You're freaking out. I'm just a human."

Perry is currently in Australia, and will head to Japan before returning back to the States for the North American leg of her 2011 California Dreams tour.
