Kendall Jenner stuns on the cover of Allure magazine's March 2015 issue, fixing the camera with a sultry stare that sets off her kohl-rimmed eyes and perfectly tousled hair.

But besides her obvious beauty (and there's plenty of it -- especially in the behind-the-scenes video of her photo shoot, which you can check out below), Kendall also opened up to the mag about why she wanted to break free from the Kardashian/Jenner name -- at least momentarily.

"As selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family," Kendall says of the time she famously asked big sis Kim not to attend her fashion shows last season. (Quote via E! News). "If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, ‘Oh, Kim goes to Kendall's first fashion show!' I love Kim, but for a minute I wanted it to be like, ‘OK, this is [Kendall's] thing—and she's taking it seriously."

And it seems to be working in her favor, opting to go just by her first name on her modeling cards and landing an Allure cover shot by famed photographer Mario Testino. Not too shabby, Kendall. Not too shabby.
