Kim Cattrall on ‘Sex + The City’ Co-Stars: ‘We’ve Never Been Friends’
Where the fallout over a proposed third Sex and the City movie is concerned, there's no love lost — at least according to star Kim Cattrall.
Cattrall, who's been accused of sticking a fork in the movie — which was otherwise ready to go into production — told Piers Morgan in a new interview that she resents accepting total blame, and says personal connections to her co-stars have been woefully overstated over the years.
“We’ve never been friends,” Cattrall said. “We’ve been colleagues and in some way, it’s a very healthy place to be.”
Cattrall added that she's been consistent in her aversion to yet another movie, and doesn't deserve the public backlash she's received.
"To get any kind of negative press about something that I've been saying for almost a year — 'no' — that I'm demanding or a diva, specifically Sarah Jessica Parker," Cattrall said. "I think she could have been nicer."
And as for mending fences? Don't count on it.
"They all have children and I'm 10 years older, I don't see them," she added. "The common ground that we had was the series and the series is over."
