Kim Kardashian Claps Back at Haters Saying Kylie Jenner Isn’t ‘Self-Made’
Last week, Kylie Jenner covered the "America's Woman Billionaires" issue of Forbes and was revealed as the 27th richest self-made woman in the United States—the 20-year-old is worth over $900 million and is poised to become the youngest billionaire ever.
However, though this sounds like a feat to some, the Kylie Cosmetics businesswoman is receiving some flack from people who don't consider her to be "self-made" since she comes from a wealthy family.
Now, her older sister Kim Kardashian is coming to the rescue and defending her successful sis against the haters.
"I really didn’t get it, because she is 'self-made'— we are all 'self-made,'" the 37-year-old reality star recently told Refinery29. "What, because we came from a family that has had success? To me, that doesn’t really make sense."
"I know so many people like that [who] haven’t turned out to be as successful as Kylie," Kim continued. "If anything, I've seen the complete opposite."
Jenner's company has made a reported $230 million in net profit since its launch in 2016, when the reality TV star's original line of lip kits sold out within just a minute after going live online.
Jenner says that she plans on holding onto Kylie Cosmetics "forever," passing it on to her daughter Stormi one day "if she's into it."
