ICYMI: Kygo & Ellie Goulding Perform ‘First Time,’ Plus Late Night Hosts Rip Trump Transgender Ban
Kygo and Ellie Goulding stopped by The Tonight Show to perform their latest, "First Time." It's quite the visual feast, with Kygo standing before what looks like about 40 keyboards and Goulding belting out the vocals in front of a full string section, plus the spinny lights and everyone's dressed up so nice... (Except Kygo. Dude, take your hat off. And put on a suit or something, you look out of place.)
Oh, and the song's pretty good too:
Over on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Fall Out Boy appeared to show off their new song, "Champion":
Stephen Colbert tore into President Trump's decision to ban transgender people from serving in the armed forces. He read aloud the whole series of tweets the president sent yesterday (July 26) announcing the ban, which for some reason the president concluded with the phrase "Thank you."
"'Thank you'?" Colbert repeats, then replies to Trump by changing the first word in that phrase to something we can't print on our family-friendly website.
Jimmy Fallon also spent monologue time on the trans ban, but he went a step further. He brought out trans comedian Patti Harrison to respond. And she's rather blunt about how she feels about the president. "I don't even think Trump knows what 'transgender' means," Harrison says. "He probably thinks transgender people are those cars that turn into robots."
