There's no question that Lady Gaga is a global pop icon and the superstar doesn't need to prove that unassailable fact, but that isn't stopping her from performing a live concert at the 64th Annual Festival de Cannes on Wednesday. The famed film fest kicks off tomorrow and Gaga is getting the party started in typical splashy and visual Gaga fashion while promoting 'Born This Way,' which also lands in France on May 23, the same day as the States.
The Hollywood Reporter
revealed that Gaga will perform on Canal Plus' show 'Le Grand Journal,' which puts stages in place during the festival.

In addition to performing her scorching new single 'Judas' to a live crowd at Cannes, Gaga will take questions from show host Michel Denisot along with a team of animated French TV presenters.

Gaga's performance isn't the only one expected by an American musician at Cannes. Rapper Kanye West is also slated to perform at a Cannes party sometime next week. American pops stars really are invading Cannes this year, aren't they? We're left wondering how Gaga does it, since her schedule is so insane!

Additionally, we can't wait to watch 'American Idol' tomorrow, May 11, as Gaga's segments as mentor to the Final Four will air during the performance episode, which starts at 8PM ET.
