When you are as famous as Lady Gaga, you tend to deal with people who want to benefit and profit from your success and hard work. That often includes people who were once on your payroll.

Gaga is in the middle of an ugly lawsuit with her former personal assistant who is seeking to be compensated with overtime pay. Gaga's sworn deposition has leaked, revealing details of the suit and presenting two very different sides of the same story.

The New York Post has printed some of the mudslinging between the ladies, with Gaga saying Jennifer O'Neill is suing her for money she did not earn.

In the court records, Gaga, who testified for nearly six-hours in NYC, said, "She’s just — she thinks she’s just like the queen of the universe. And, you know what, she didn’t want to be a slave to one, because in my work and what I do, I’m the queen of the universe every day."

Well, that's not a shocker. If you take a job with Gaga, you need to accept from the get-go that you are working with a pop diva who has an insane lifestyle and is going to be depending on you for a lot of unglamorous tasks. It goes with the territory. Her comment about being the queen may sound like a bit of a hubris-filled statement, but she's Lady Gaga for God's sake and she needs her people to be dedicated.

Gaga did not hold back during the deposition, using some profanity. Clearly, she is angered and possibly hurt by her former staffer suing her. O'Neill brought her suit in 2011 and claimed she was due overtime pay for being at the singer's "beck and call" around the clock as her career took off between 2009 and 2011.

O’Neill claims she worked 7,168 hours of unpaid overtime during two stints working for Gaga and she wants $393,000, plus damages, for her time.

Gaga asserts that no one who works for her gets overtime pay and that O'Neill "knew exactly what she was getting into, and she knew there was no overtime, and I never paid her overtime the first time I hired her, so why would she be paid overtime the second time?"

You know, Ma Monster does have a point there.

Despite not paying overtime, Gaga said she makes up for it by being a good boss who takes care of her people. She said, "I’m quite wonderful to everybody that works for me, and I am completely aghast to what a disgusting human being that you have become to sue me like this," she said.

"Because she slept in Egyptian cotton sheets every night, in five-star hotels, on private planes, eating caviar, partying with [photographer] Terry Richardson all night, wearing my clothes, asking YSL [Yves Saint Laurent] to send her free shoes without my permission, using my YSL discount without my permission."

Things have gotten ugly between the ladies, and since Gaga is one of the most famous women in the world, she has to deal with those who were once on her side trying to make a buck off her and former inner circle members betraying her. No wonder she is angry. Wouldn't you be?
