Linda Perry's name might not be immediately familiar to you, but the former 4 Non Blondes singer, who had a massive hit in the early '90s, has made a real name for herself behind the scenes. Perry has penned massive hits for Pink, Christina Aguilera and James Blunt and recently made headlines for a major diss of Katy Perry, with whom she shares a surname.

Now, she's back in news for her budding relationship with former 'Roseanne' and current 'The Talk' co-host Sara Gilbert.

Gilbert split with longtime love Allison Adler after a decade and a pair of kids -- they each gave birth to one of their children -- earlier this year. She dove right back into the dating scene with Perry and the two were photographed holding hands together in Los Angeles, sparking a rush of "Are they dating?" rumors to swirl around them.

The attention certainly shook Gilbert a little. On 'The Talk,' where fellow host Sharon Osbourne was addressing the notion of privacy for reality stars and celebs, Gilbert spoke of the nascent relationship, saying, "The other day I was just out and paparazzi were there. It was Sunday morning and I wasn't really prepared. There's all these articles out that I'm in a new relationship." She was ultimately flattered that people actually care about her romantic life.

She also said, "As I'm developing a relationship with you guys [to her co-hosts], the audience, I do want to share stuff with you guys but kind of would rather do it on my terms, I guess, in full hair and makeup."

In Hollywood? No way, Sara. You've been in this game long enough to know that the paparazzi and the media don't play by anyone's rules but their own.
