Madonna was recently caught showing major dismay over some hydrangeas at a press conference at Venice, rolling her eyes and expressing her hatred for the flower after a fan gifted her with a bouquet. After lots of bad press over the incident, Madonna is striking back with a humorous video of her apology to hydrangeas.

The video is shot in sepia tone, giving the clip an old-school, silent film feel. There are no words actually spoken in the video, but Madonna does her best Lillian Gish as she dramatically apologizes to a bunch of hydrangeas without utilizing her famed voice.

With assistance from some very poetic subtitles, Madonna strokes the hydrangeas as a 'Godfather'-esque track plays in the background. Madonna fawns over the hydrangeas like a heartbroken lover trying to win back the adoration of their significant other as she mouths, "My heart is going to burst with sadness. I need to know in time you may forgive me."

Just when you think Madonna has finally mended her relationship with the flowers, she asks, "If I could take my words back I would, but I can't, so what am I left with?" The music suddenly changes from a lamenting tune to that of pure evil, as Madonna screams, "I'm left with the fact that I still hate hydrangeas! It's a free country! So f--k you I like roses!" She then stomps the flowers, looking like a power diva as she wear an outfit that looks like the assertive suit she donned in the 'Express Yourself' video.

Even though the original incident was highly publicized because it seemed like Madonna was hating on a fan gift more than the flowers themselves, this clip is an utterly perfect way to end the gossip. It's always good to fight fire with humor, and the 'Material Girl' worked it in the hilarious video. Touche, Madonna! You can hate any flower you please, especially if it means more "love letters" like this one!
