Mariah Carey Back to Diva Antics at New York City Performance

Mariah Carey is almost as famous for her diva demands as she is for her high octaves. For her brief performance last week in New York City, Mimi's voice -- and needs -- were back in full force.
The New York Post reports that Carey was determined to look absolutely perfect for her return to the stage. Carey reportedly “asked for touch-ups between each song and camera shot." Does this news really surprise you, lambs?

Carey likely is still a bit self-conscious about her appearance (she wouldn't let hubby Nick Cannon see her naked when she was pregnant!), so it's understandable that she'd want to look perfect. The 'Shake It Off' singer recently shook off more than 30 pounds of baby weight with Jenny Craig following the birth of her twins, to whom she affectionately refers as "Dem Babies." Her weight has been the subject of massive scrutiny since it began fluctuating a few years ago, with tacky media outlets and even Chelsea Handler cruelly weighing in on the matter.

Mimi's demands for the show were tame compared to some others. She once requested a staircase assistant (yes, you read that right) to help keep her from teetering in her heels and tumbling down steps. Whatever Mimi's doing, it's working. We're happy to have her back!
