As a musician and performer, Miley Cyrus has already pushed the boundaries of what people have come to expect from the former 'Hannah Montana' star. Now, Cyrus is taking on a new form of art, as she will be premiering a collection of sculptures titled 'Dirty Hippie' at Jeremy Scott's New York Fashion Week show on Sept. 10.

V Magazine (who will also be featuring a topless photo of Cyrus in the issue) took a look at Cyrus' unique set of sculptures which includes a mashup of various items assembled together, including teddy bears, braids, neon sunglasses, plush toys and more.

Cyrus tells the magazine that the art was a way for her to take her mind off what was a tough year. "This seems so f------ lame to say but I feel like my art became kind of a metaphor—an example of my life," she tells the magazine. "Because a bunch of s----y things kept happening. I’ve always been so f------ lucky. Everything has always just been easy for me. And at the beginning of this year, I hated 2014 because everything that could go wrong kept going wrong. Being in the hospital, my dog dying...Everything just kept sh----- on me and sh----- on me. So then I started taking all of those s--- things and making them good, and being like, I’m using it. My brother and my friends all said that’s what they felt I was doing. So, that’s how I started making art. I had a bunch of f------ junk and s---, and so instead of letting it be junk and s---, I turned it into something that made me happy."
