Fans are convinced Miley Cyrus shaded Liam Hemsworth in her new song with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey.

On Friday (September 13), the pop trio dropped their highly-anticipated collaboration, "Don't Call Me Angel," which will be featured on the upcoming Charlie's Angels reboot starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska.

The music video is stunning, but fans couldn't help but notice Cyrus' verse may have been directed to the Hunger Games actor — especially because his nickname for the singer was "angel."

In fact, he even used the pet name in many of his Instagram captions.

In her verse, Cyrus sings, "Uh, don't call me angel when I'm a mess/ Don't call me angel when I get undressed/ You know I, I don't like that, boy/ Uh, I make my money, and I write the checks/ So say my name with a little respect."

Whether Hemsworth was the inspiration behind the feminist anthem remains unknown, but the lyrics to "Don't Call Me Angel" could just be in reference to the movie, which is, in fact, about angels. Therefore, it may just be a coincidence and not another breakup song like her previously-released single, "Slide Away."

But the pop star's lyrics aren't the only connection fans made to Hemsworth. They also pointed out that track's music video features a scene in which Cyrus beats up a man that looks a lot like her soon-to-be ex-husband.
