Miley Cyrus got to meet an idol on Saturday night (April 18). Not only did the "We Can't Stop" singer welcome Joan Jett & the Blackhearts into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but she also performed with the legendary rocker.

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts opened the show with her 1980s hit "Bad Reputation. She then followed by inviting original Blackhearts bassist Gary Ryan and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. And to top of that off, Joan covered "Crimson & Clover" by Tommy James and the Shondells with Tommy James himself and Miley, who came in on the chorus. You can see a part of that performance above.

After playing, Miley had her chance to tell everyone how she really felt about Joan Jett. Sharing anecdotes about how they used to smoke together, hang out in her backyard and the first time Miley realized she wanted to have sex with the rockstar, the pop singer had nothing but praise for the person she called a "Superwoman."

"At first, having to induct Joan Jett in the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was overwhelming," Miley said during her speech. "There was so much that I could say and she just had her life in music that is rare. She's had a career that's decades long. She's been the first of many things and not just as a woman, but just as a badass being on the planet."

Miley's speech showed how much of an influence Joan Jett was in her life and how much rock and roll she really is. She also explained how much she loved her and closed her speech by saying:

"Growing up, my dad always kept me around music, and I spent a lot of time with all different artists. But I know there isn't one other person on this planet that's been an inspiration to me like you have. Joan's music, her activism, who she is. In all of our lives, all of us are going to experience people who try to tell us who to be and what to be. F--- those people! Instead of changing for all those people, if you don't like how the world is, change it yourself. She made the world evolve, her life and her success is proof that we can self-evolve. I want to thank you for fighting for our freedom, Joan, and I love you so much."
