Nick Cannon Released From Hospital Following Mild Kidney Failure
Looks like all those prayers and well wishes for Nick Cannon did the trick! Mariah Carey's hubby and DemBabies' proud papa was able to go home over the weekend, after being laid up in multiple hospitals over the past week, following mild kidney failure.
"Nick Cannon was released over the weekend to be with his family," a rep for Cannon tells PEOPLE magazine. "He is resting and recovering at home and would like to thank everyone who has expressed concern, well wishes and prayers."
And nobody is more excited about his recovery than Cannon himself, who is expected to start back up with his work commitments as early as next week, according to his rep. "He plans to return to his live morning radio show broadcast Rollin' with Nick Cannon on 92.3 NOW FM on January 17th," they announced along with the news of his release from the Los Angeles hospital where he was transferred to from Aspen, Colo. where he became ill.
The world knows Carey can sing like an angel, but she showed us over the past week that she is an angel when it comes to staying by her hubby's side the entire time he was under doctor's care. Both Cannon and Carey kept fans updated as often as possible through their Twitter pages, even including some photos of the two of them in Cannon's hospital bed looking to be in good spirits.
Just last night (Sunday, Jan. 8), Carey tweeted: "Nick is getting better. We love and appreciate all the ongoing kind words."
All of us here at PopCrush continue to keep Cannon -- as well as Carey and those precious twins, Monroe and Moroccan -- in our thoughts and prayers as he continues on his road to recovery.
