Nick Jonas’ Girlfriend Thought He Was Going to Propose on Live TV

Nick Jonas' girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, thought she was in for the biggest surprise of her life during the 2015 Miss Universe pageant on Jan. 25. Nick was there to perform a few of his hit tracks, and halfway through his performance of 'Jealous,' he wound up right in front of Olivia, singing to her. Boyfriend singing to girlfriend -- sounds pretty standard, right? Well, at one point, Nick got down on his knee and for a second Olivia thought he was about to propose to her. Talk about a shock!

Nick told the Sun (quote via US Weekly), "I went down and sang to her, and I [got] on a knee and approached her. Her face was in full panic. She thought I was going to propose on national TV in front of one billion people."

That wasn't Nick's intention, apparently, but we can totally see why she thought he was about to pop the question. It looks like marriage is pretty far off for them, as Nick recently talked about it in an interview with Access Hollywood. He said (quote via US Weekly), "At some point, it would be ideal [to settle down], but we're still quite young and we're going on a journey."
