‘Pixels’ Trailer: Pac-Man and Donkey Kong Are Here to Destroy Earth

Sony Picture's new movie Pixels might make you second guess your love of Pac-Man.

When a mysterious alien life force misinterprets a message from NASA as an act of war, it sends classic arcade game characters to destroy the Earth. That's when Adam Sandler, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin James, Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage ban together to save the human race. No, really.

Inspired by Patrick Jean's 2010 short film of the same name, Pixels features a larger-than-life, people-eating Pac-Man and a barrel-tossing Donkey Kong. Director Christopher Columbus even recruits Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani for a cameo.

Pixels is slated to hit U.S. theaters on July 24. Watch the exciting trailer above.
