Spotify's been making major money in recent years.

The music streaming service hit a whopping $16.9 billion in revenue last year, marking an 18 percent increase from the year prior, while 2023 saw a 16 percent increase in revenue from 2022.

But Spotify isn't just making bank as a company—some podcasters on the platform are also making major money moves.

According to a new report from Spotify's newsroom, the company has paid out more than $100 million to podcast publishers and podcasters this year alone—and that's just Q1 earnings.

In a statement published online, Spotify announced:

At Spotify, we’re committed to supporting creators across all formats, and we’re thrilled to announce a significant milestone in that journey.

For the first time, we’re revealing that Spotify paid out more than $100 million to podcast publishers and podcasters worldwide in the first quarter of 2025 alone. This figure reflects our deep commitment to the creator economy and underscores Spotify’s position as a leading platform for audio and video creators alike.

The $100 million payout includes "both ad-based revenue and revenue generated through the Spotify Partner Program," which allows content creators to monetize their content on the app.

Spotify also reports its Spotify Partner Program saw a 29 percent month-over-month increase from February to March, as well as an uptick in video podcast publishing.
