The torch has been passed as one single-name pop superstar has cruised passed another in Billboard chart history. Rihanna has usurped Madonna's throne and broken Madge's record for being the solo artist to achieve 20 Top 10 singles in the shortest period of time. Rihanna has achieved this feat in just five months less time than Madonna.

According to Billboard, RiRi has reached 20 Hot 100 Top 10 singles the fastest. She notched the chart coup once 'We Found Love,' her first single from 'Talk That Talk,' landed at radio. The song is sitting pretty in the No. 9 position its second week out, having debuted at No. 15. That's what we call starting the promotional cycle for a brand new record off on the right foot.

Rihanna's first Top 10 single reared its head in June 2005 -- it was 'Pon De Replay,' in case you are a chart history buff -- and she has collected 19 other Top 10 tracks in six years and four months, passing Madonna by a mere five months.

Congrats to Rihanna on her latest accolade. We're sure she has plenty of Top 10 songs in her future.

'Talk That Talk' is due out in November.
