Selena Gomez Signs on to Co-Host Canada’s MuchMusic Video Awards

Next month, Selena Gomez will be co-hosting Canada's MuchMusic Video Awards. The awards show, which will be held in Toronto, honors Canadian stars from various genres for their achievements in the world of music videos.

For the execs at MuchMusic, it was a no-brainer to seek out Ms. Gomez as a co-host. "Selena Gomez is a bona fide star. Her films and TV show are seen around the world and her songs are topping the charts," says Sheila Sullivan, executive producer of the awards show.

At the awards show, 18-year-old Gomez will be appearing onstage alongside mega stars like Lady Gaga. We hope her boyfriend and Canada native, Justin Bieber, will be in attendance as Gomez's date!

The MuchMusic Video Awards are set to air on the Canadian music network on Sunday, June 19. In the meantime, Gomez is probably keeping busy promoting her upcoming film, 'Monte Carlo.'
