Selena Gomez Says She Doesn’t Want to Hide Relationship With Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez opened up to Seventeen about her relationship with fellow teen sensation Justin Bieber. Gomez has been dealing with a backlash of criticism from the Bieb's uber loyal fanbase, which is largely comprised of young, hormonal and dedicated girls. But Gomez, 18, demonstrated grace and class when speaking about Bieber and the squealing ladies who love him!

Acknowledging that she has been private about her past relationships, Gomez says, "I don't like hiding. I do like to keep certain things to myself, but at the end of the day, I'm 18, and I'm going to fall in love. I'm going to hang out with people, and I'm going to explore myself, and I'm okay with that."

Gomez diplomatically addressed the zeal with which Bieber fans conduct themselves, saying, "I do see the passion that a lot of these girls have, and it's beautiful. I love it. I really do. It's special." Perhaps these comments will stave off some of the haters who have attacked Gomez by virtue of the fact that she has stolen their hero's heart.

Gomez also joked that the couple's coordinated Oscar party attire -- she in a red gown, he sporting red accessories -- made the event feel like "our prom." Even though no corsage was involved, the pair still looked striking.

Gomez will be starring as Grace in the forthcoming road trip film 'Monte Carlo' and she even said she'd love to vacation with Taylor Swift. "I've been able to fly to Nashville to see her, and she'll come to LA a lot, but it'd be nice to get away. It would be really fun. I've known Taylor for over three years now, so we're at the point where we just get each other," Gomez admits. While they're not besties, they do enjoy one another's company.
