Selena Gomez has confirmed her new single is called "Lose You to Love Me."

After teasing fans with cryptic posts all week, the singer announced on Friday (October 18) that she's dropping a new song on October 23. She shared the artwork for the track, which is a black-and-white shot of Gomez looking directly into the camera, alongside the caption "I needed to lose you to love me."

Fans first started to speculate new music was finally on its way when the 27-year-old pop star shared a throwback photo with the caption, "We always go into it blindly" on Wednesday (October 16).

She then followed it up with other posts that featured more cryptic captions, including, “Rose colored glasses all distorted,” “I saw the signs and I ignored it” and “I gave my all and they all know it.”

It's safe to say fans are incredibly excited the SelGo's new era of music is officially upon us — and a lot of them think "Lose You to Love Me" and SG2 is about her relationship with ex Justin Bieber.

As fans know, Gomez and Bieber had an on-again, off-again relationship for nearly a decade. The pair started dating in 2011 before calling it quits in November 2012. They got back together in September 2014 but split again two months later and then continued to fuel reconciliation rumors for years. During that time, Gomez dated The Weeknd while Bieber was linked to a number of celebrities, including Sofia Richie and Kourtney Kardashian. However, the two eventually got back together again in October 2017 only to call it quits for good in March 2017.

The "Sorry" singer has since moved on to now-wife Hailey Baldwin, but it was never made clear what exactly happened between him and Gomez. It's definitely been a whirlwind and now fans seem to think Gomez will tell her side of the story on her upcoming album. Only time will tell if that's true.
