Selena Gomez Always Gets Red Carpet Jitters, Loves Skype

Selena Gomez has been in the limelight for years, but despite all of her experience in front of the cameras, the 18-year-old admits that she still gets red carpet jitters.

“It’s pretty scary,” she says. “It’s not that I’m not confident in myself, it’s just that the red carpet is not somewhere I feel totally comfortable.”

The 'Who Says' singer also confesses that touring life isn't easy to deal with. “It’s hard, especially when I’m in a hotel room by myself, thousands of miles away from the people I love,” she adds. “Of course it’s difficult. I miss all the people I love, my family and my friends, when I’m away from home."

But thanks to technology, Gomez never has too be too far from her loved ones (i.e. Justin Bieber). “Thank goodness for Skype, I don’t know what people did before it!”

Selena Gomez and the Scene will embark on their first headlining tour on July 24.
