Selena Gomez has revealed the artwork for her upcoming album Revival and, like many a young female star eager to shed her Disney-approved, squeaky-clean image, she's decided to go completely nude.

The "Good For You" singer posted the black-and-white photo on Twitter earlier today (September 8) paired with the title of her album, Revival.

And while the artwork may surprise your more casual Selena Gomez fan, this image shift was a long time coming. Her current single "Good For You" is a sexually-charged slow-jam, with a racy video to match.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Selena said, "I’ve lived such a public life that I understand that I’m under a microscope. That has taken me into so many different phases. It’s made me depressed and it’s made me happy and it’s made me grateful and humble—but [I’ve learned] it’s okay to let down my walls with my music, to feel sexy and good.”

As for what Revival will actually sound like, Selena says she wanted the album to capture that same feeling of familiarity she remembers from listening to music by Britney Spears, NSYNC and Christina Aguilera when she was growing up.

She said, “I grew up with Britney and NSYNC and Janet and all those people. I would buy the copy, read the thank yous, and I felt like I knew them. Christina [Aguilera]’s Stripped was one of my favorites. What I loved about Revival is that it felt like there was a fluid story.”

Revival is due out on October 9.
