After celebrating the big 2-0, Selena Gomez has some more exciting news to share with her fans. The singer/actress has been tapped to star in a new movie called 'While I'm Dead ... Feed the Dog.'

Gomez will share the big screen with the likes of Nat Wolff, Lachlan Buchanan and Cary Elwes. The project is in its beginning stages, but in a tweet on Saturday (July 28) Buchanan dished on the new film, saying, "Awesome table read this morning with @natandalex @selenagomez and many more. Let the crazy begin!"

Gomez hasn't explicitly spoken about the new film, but she posted a photo of herself on Facebook with the caption: “New hair for a new movie : ) I love changing my hair!”

'While I'm Dead ... Feed the Dog' is based on the 2000 Ric Browde novel of the same name. A summary for the film describes the project as a coming-of-age tale about a 16-year-old named Ric Thibault, who "ends up in the back of a limo on the road to rock'n'roll superstardom opening up for Bowie. But on the way there he hits a bump or two -- a few dead Mafia hitmen here, a nymphomaniac next door there, not to mention a few dying Latin teachers, narcoleptic nuns, inept policemen, unscrupulous lawyers, buffoon reporters, huckster televangelists and greedy relatives."

A release date has not yet been set for the film. Congrats, Sel!
