Although she's been in the music industry for years, singer and songwriter Sia has begun to obscure her face from the cameras.

In a 2013 column for Billboard, Sia explained her "anti-fame manifesto," writing, "If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous."

It wasn't until 2014 that she acted out against the constraints of the limelight, hiding her face on red carpets and during performances. "I don’t want to be famous, or recognizable. I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the internet," she told Nightline.

But Sia's face was available to the public for many years before she took her stance. Beginning in 2006, her performances and red carpet moments were well documented. So well-documented, in fact, that there are photos of her face at dozens of events.

So, for those truly curious about the woman behind the metaphorical (and, sometimes, physical) mask, we've gathered more than 30 photos of Sia's face in the gallery above.
