Adele's highly anticipated Vogue cover hit the interwebs today courtesy of an enthusiastic fan and the ever-crucial Twitter. As the face of the March 2012 issue, it's no surprise that the velvet-voiced powerhouse looks absolutely stunning.

Adele's signature cat-eyes and windswept red hair are the stars of the show in her cover shot. Clad in a gorgeous black dress with lace detailing and a healthy dose of decolletage, the 'Someone Like You' singer is a fashion force to be reckoned with.

The March and September issues of Vogue are the biggest of the year, because they precede the ever-important Fashion Weeks, where designers showcase their season's creations. Rumor has it that February cover girl Taylor Swift was a contender for the March cover, but was beat out by the British superstar just in time for Adele's likely sweep of Grammy season.

We're betting her pretty pictorial is making designer Karl Lagerfeld eat his words even more so than before. The designer had mad comments that Adele is "a little too fat." Uh, too fat for what exactly?

Thankfully, the chanteuse couldn't have cared less what Uncle Karl had to say about her. “I’ve never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines,” she said in a response to his rude words (which he insists were taken out of context, but in any context would still be nasty). “I represent the majority of women and I’m very proud of that.”

Amen, sister -- we bet half the models on magazine covers would kill to look as good as Adele does on hers!
