In need of some fiery country twang this chilly spring season? Look no further than Sugarland's new collaboration with Taylor Swift — "Babe" is sure to get you good and warm.

The newly reunited Sugarland, who performed at Sunday's (April 15) ACM Awards, dropped their new Swift-penned project Friday (April 20), and it's a familiar story for both artists: a tale of a cheater who's getting his comeuppance.

"What a waste / Taking down the pictures and the plans we made, yeah / And it's strange how your face doesn't look so innocent / Your secret has it's consequence and that's on you, babe," Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles bites before Swift joins her for the soothing chorus.

And Nettles told People that the opportunity for the acts to collide has been a long time coming — there's been a tremendous mutual respect between Swift and Sugarland for years.

“[Swift] was excited that we were getting back together. She said ‘Hey, I have a song…’ and we said ‘Yep!'” Nettles said. “We’ve obviously known each other for many years when she was just getting started. We just had our first EP out called Premium Quality Tunes. She still has a copy of it that we signed for her.”

"Babe' will be featured on Sugarland's forthcoming album Bigger, which will drop on June 8. Swift, meanwhile, is gearing up for her massive Reputation World Tour, which will kick off on May 8 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
