Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars + More Are Hip-Hop Illuminati in New ‘Cleveland Show’ Photos
The urban legend that many of hip-hop's prominent rappers are members of the Illuminati is parodied on the season premiere of FOX's animated series 'The Cleveland Show.' The episode, which airs on Oct. 21, stars Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, will.i.am and the Roots' drummer Questlove.
In the new installment, titled "Menace II Secret Society," Cleveland, Sr. confronts West after finding out that he didn't get songwriting credit for their collaborative hit 'Be-Cleve In Yourself' (sound familiar?). When Cleveland stumbles upon Yeezy's secret society, he tries to foil their plans to take over the music industry. Bruno, Minaj, will, and Questo are part of West's cloak-and-dagger crew, and they also lend their voices to the episode.
"Cleveland inadvertently breaks into it and then it’s how he will either bring them down or they’ll bring him down," explained executive producer Rich Appel of the story line. “We have a couple of original songs with Kanye and will and Bruno, I mean, all of them, it was great.” With the show's creator Seth McFarlane overseeing the episode, expect some outrageous moments from the cast.
The fourth season of 'The Cleveland Show' will premiere on Oct. 21 at 7:30PM ET on FOX. Check out stills from the episode below.
