First Clip From Lifetime’s ‘Saved by the Bell’ Movie Released Online [VIDEO]
Lifetime has posted the first clip from 'The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story,' which gives us a tease as to what we can expect from the made-for-TV tell all.
In the clip, we see the 'Saved by the Bell' actors portrayed as both jealous and flirty teenagers, as they gather together for a cast photo shoot. Mark-Paul Gosselaar (played by Dylan Everett) and Tiffani-Amber Thiessan (played by Alyssa Lynch) are seen engaging in flirtatious behavior, while a jealous Lark Voorhies (played by Taylor Russell) looks on. Elizabeth Berkley (Tiera Skovbye) tries to comfort her while Mario Lopez (Julian Works) and Dustin Diamond (Sam Kindseth) get competitive in a battle of push-ups.
The movie, which premieres on Sept. 1 on Lifetime, is based on accounts of what allegedly happened behind the scenes during NBC's popular teen show from 1989 to 1993, including tales of sex, drugs and backstabbing. Much of the film's details will be based on Dustin Diamond's 2009 book, 'Behind the Bell.'
Many cast members have spoken out against the book, claiming that a lot of what was written in the book isn't based on any truth. Diamond has since been ostracized from the rest of the cast.
PopCrushers, are you looking forward to watching the film?
