Tiffany Haddish Dressed Like An Actual Queen for the 2018 Oscars

While most stars opted for glitz and glamour on the 2018 Oscars red carpet, Tiffany Haddish looked back to her roots, proudly sporting a traditional Eritrean gown as a tribute to her late father.

"My father is from Eritrea. He passed away last year," she explained during an interview. "He said one day I would end up here, and if I ever end up at the Oscars, to honor my people."

The look included a cream colored A-line dress with black and gold embroidery, a matching black shawl, and an ornate gold headpiece.

Twitter, understandably, was very here for her royal-inspired ensemble. "TIFFANY HADDISH IS A QUEEN," wrote one user. Added another, "Tiffany Haddish isn’t nominated but that didn’t stop her from coming dressed like a goddamn winner."
