Tina Fey + Amy Poehler Discuss ‘Roles’ in New ‘Star Wars’ + Film Golden Globes Promos [VIDEOS]
2014 Golden Globe hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler continue their quest for world domination in the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly, taking over as guest editors.
Funniest issue of all time? Funniest issue of all time.
Within the magazine, the funny ladies also talk about their "newest roles" in the upcoming 'Star Wars' movie playing Darth Vader's Moms.
Revealed Poehler, "He has two horrible mothers. We know a lot of father stuff with 'Star Wars,' and not a lot of mother stuff. We play these really naggy mothers of Darth Vader."
For example, according to Fey, they will be complaining that Darth doesn't eat enough and making him practice being a Jedi for hours on end.
Or you know, nag him for not being able to land a girl looking like he does in his cape and helmet combo.
"I feel like the theme of the next 'Star Wars' is going to be: How does a working mother juggle it all? I’m looking forward to that. What I like about all these giant superhero movies is that they speak to the issues that I’m dealing with right now," Poehler continued. "Working mother and time management and how to be an interesting, sexual, curious woman in your 40s."
As for how director J.J. Abrams feels about all this? He continued with the joke, adding, "The exciting thing about having Amy and Tina play the Vader Moms, as we’re calling them, is that they bring to the film that pitch-perfect 'Star Wars' energy fans are clamoring for."
We would watch that. For now, though, we'll have to settle for these hilarious Golden Globe promos. The Globes air on Sunday, Jan. 12.
