It looks like we can add The 1975 to the ever-growing list of Arianators. The Brit band recently stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, where they performed a number of songs off their upcoming album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, which comes out on Friday (November 30). For their cover, the alt-pop-rockers decided to tackle Ariana Grande's recent No.1 single "thank u, next."

Before diving into the song, Matty Healy dedicated the performance to Ari. "I'll just start singing it, but I want to dedicate it to the artist of the song who's become, I think, the main protagonist...in most people's lives, the person I see spoken about the most, and someone I've started to really care about, for some reason" he confessed.

“She’s had a right old tough time and I like her, a lot. I think she's cool,” Healy continued. “And she’s got a great voice. And I don’t. So I’m gonna sing one of her songs.”

Backed by an ensemble of soulful backup singers, The 1975 made the song their own by giving it a jazzy, gospel feel.

The pop star showed her love for the song by retweeting it and replying with a black heart emoji.

"We (and I mean society as a whole) f--king love you," Healy responded, which prompted the 26-year-old to repay the sentiment. Check out the exchange below.

As for "thank u, next," Ari has been teasing the music video to no end, and we can't wait to see it.
