2012 Grammys Red Carpet: Don’t Expect to Hear From Chris Brown
Team Breezy fans will be sad to hear that their boy Chris Brown won't be stopping for interviews on the red carpet at the 2012 Grammy Awards. According to RadarOnline, the 'Look at Me Now' hitmaker is adhering to his no interview rule for 2012, and he won't be stopping to chat with Sophia Grace Brownlee or any other red carpet reporters at the 2012 Grammys.
With the three-year anniversary of Brown's assault on Rihanna just occurring, it's only in his best interest that he doesn't stop to talk with the press. However, the crooner is still planning on performing a show-stopping number at the show, where Brown is up for three Grammys.
"Chris just wants to do his performance, and let his music speak for him. Chris and Rihanna have both moved on from what happened, and Chris has accepted responsibility for his actions," an inside source told RadarOnline. The source also went on to use Charlie Sheen as an example of how the press has scrutinized Brown. "Chris thinks it’s unfair that the media wants to focus on the incident, especially when you look at how the media treats Charlie Sheen," the insider said. "Sheen isn't asked about his criminal record involving several women, including his now ex-wife."
The source closed by saying, "Chris might answer a few questions if he wins an award, but it would be very short, and he would only take a few questions, and not talk about Rihanna. Chris is hopeful that his performance will close that chapter on his life. He will be bringing his mom to the awards ceremony, she is his biggest fan, and he has told her he is dedicating his performance to her."
What do you think? Is Chris Brown's refusal to partake in interviews a smart move for the singer? Let us know in the comments below.
The 2012 Grammy Awards will air on Sunday, Feb. 12 on CBS at 8PM EST.
